My Graduation Makeup ...

It was a super busy day and I was exhausted from the night before. I kept my makeup simple. I didn't write down what I used exactly but off the top of my head here is a list:

Eyes: Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland Palette - Muchness and Mad Hatter

Face: a MAC bronzer and Inglot Highlighter

Lips: A pink MakeUp Forever lipgloss

Night Out on the Town - H.O.M.E. Foundation

So glad to have some free time to blog!! School is done and I'm ready to have fun!! Last weed on the 24th I was able to attend an awesome event for my brother in-law's nonprofit organization called the HOME Foundation. It was held at the Avalon in Hollywood. The organization puts on events to help raise awareness and money for other nonprofits. This past event was for the spcaLA and the i[2]y for Cancer Foundation.

The nights theme was Casino Royale. So there were some pro poker players that were present, as well as some celebs. It was overall a fun night! Here are a few pics with some friends, my sister, and boyfriend. OH! and I have to give a shout out to my fellow bloggers Megan and Nora from Two Birds, as they helped me with some fashion tips for my outfit of the night :-) Thanks ladies you gals are awesome!

Quick Update and 30-day song challenge :-)

So this week is graduation and as much I'm excited, at the same time I want to get it over with and just relax and hang out! I'll have a few days off this week and will finally be able to do a bit of blogging ... I'll be getting some stuff from the MAC Surf Baby collection and I got a Sephora gift card for $75 from my department at work! So hopefully I can make a trip this week and get some new goodies :-D

In the meant time here is a song from that 30 day song challenge I started a few weeks back. Day 3 is a song that makes you happy. I'm a sucker for cheesy 80's movies which always have the best soundtracks! So here is a song that makes me happy!

Purple Rain, Purple Rain!

So I'm officially done with the semester and am now getting prepared for the graduation ceremony. So many things to do! Look for a dress, shoes, clean my house for my mom's visit, etc. Can't wait! This past weekend I was finally able to have a bit of fun, and I went to go see Prince in concert! He didn't play all the songs I wanted, but he did play some good hits, and overall he puts on a great show!! Even Sheila E came out and performed her hit 'Glamorous' ... it was great!

I didn't do much with my eye makeup, but I did want to do a bold lip. Here's a general description of what I used:

Eyes: MAC Amber Lights (wash over my eyelids)

Cheeks: Benefit Hollywood Glo (Rediscovered this in my stash, and I love it! pic doesn't really do it justice :-/ )

Lips: NYX Lip liner in Purple Rain (I had to use it! ha!)
MAC lipstick in Violetta
MAC Venomous Villians Lipgloss in Sweet Revenge (Maleficent)


I plan to do some looks based on some Prince songs, can't wait (I know I'm lame) ... Raspberry Beret, Computer Blue, Little Red Corvette ... coming soon! :-D

P.S. My friend's makeup looked great as well, she's also a makeup hoarder! I don't know the specifics of her eye makeup but she did use MAC lipstick in Morange, and some teal color as her bottom liner ...

Quick Post --- Graduation is around the corner!

I've been MIA for a few days ... I'm in my last few weeks of school and getting ready to graduate and be done with school forever!!!! (Well maybe not forever, but we shall see). On May 25th I will be receiving my Masters in Public Administration. Doesn't sound very exciting, but I hope that I will be able to find a better job and start my own nonprofit in the future.

Anyway, just another two weeks and I'll be done!! I can't wait, I'm so done having homework and reading textbooks! I'll have to take a small break from blogging though so I can focus on finishing up some final assignments :-(
