Vanilla Protein Banana Panckes

In the beginning of April of this year I started training with a local trainer here in Long Beach, CA, Melina Fitness.  Before her I would work out 3-4 times a week, but my nutrition was far from perfect so I was not getting the results I wanted.  I was not over weight, but like so many other women I wanted to be toned and have some muscle definition.

I am proud to say that I've continued my training with Melina and have learned LOTS about good eating habits and how to portion my meals.  One of the things I never thought I would do is drink a protein shake, I totally had the idea in my head that protein shakes were for guys only.  At first I was not a big fan, but then as I did more research there were tons of recipes where protein powder came in so handy, not only in shakes!!!  And just FYI, there are a ton of delicious protein shake recipes online that are awesome!

Yesterday I made Banana Pancakes with Vanilla protein powder.  Lately I've been testing out different protein powders and I got a sample from Perfect Fit Protein, which is a good protein if you're a vegan :)   (And I'm not a vegan, but like I said just testing out different brands). I'm going to be honest and let you know that they do not taste like regular pancakes, HOWEVER, to me they are a delicious and nutritious alternative.  I topped my pancakes with Fage Greek Yogurt and drizzled them with Agave Nectar, but you can top them with pretty much anything (strawberries, blueberries, peanut butter, almond butter, etc).  Just don't kill it by adding regular fatty syrup, if you're serious about living a healthier lifestyle you HAVE TO make healthier choices.  And I'm not going to lie, some days I do have a bad cheat meal, but as Melina tells me, if you're living and making healthier choices 90% of the time, an ice cream on the weekend is not going to hurt you!

Here's a pic of the delicious pancakes along with the recipe I got with my free sample of Perfect Fit protein!

1 Packet Perfect Fit Protein
1/2 a mashed banana (its easier when its nice and ripe)
1/2 a tablespoon almond milk (I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk)
1/4 cup egg whites
1 tsp cinnamon
